The Parents’ Choice Foundation has been highlighting outstanding children’s media selections for 25 years. During that time, they have honored such greats as The Cat in the Hat, Harry Potter, Ramona Quimby, The Polar Express, and The Stinky Cheese Man. The Parents’ Choice Foundation prides itself on finding products that “entertain and teach with flair, stimulate imagination, and inspire creativity.” The products must help children grow intellectually, as well as emotionally and socially to be recognized.
The Parents’ Choice Foundation grants awards to only the best products in the educational publishing industry each year. Fewer than 15% of the items submitted qualify for one of six prestigious award categories. Entries are judged on production value, universal human values, appeal to children, and age appropriateness. With two approving nods from the Foundation, it is clear that WordSmart excels in all of these categories.
